Hi Everyone!

My apologies for not getting the Rain forecast out for the last week or so; hopefully this edition will bring you all up to speed with what's going on.

The band have had two great nights at The Green Derby (Feb 5th) and Snoops (Feb 12th) last weekend - Thanks to all of you who came out.

STOP PRESS: We have just added another gig to the February calendar with a visit to The Rivers Edge on the 26th.

RAIN Snippets:

The band recently laid down some tracks at our newest Sponsor - Plant Paul Recording Studios - If any of you out there want to look into recording, go visit their website http://www.planetpaul.com/ or call Paul at 265-3538.  It's a wonderful facility and Paul has polished his People Skills, so a great time was had by all of us.  Our own Randy is doing most of the mixing at his own home studio, and we hope to have a 6 track CD available within the next couple of months.

Big Al just bought himself a Dell, Dude; and signed up for high-speed internet access (No Way!)

Rocky now has an email account!

Aaron bought a new Light Controller - he is currently taking Night classes to understand how the bloody thing works!

Big Al and Vic are having trouble remembering what happened in their life so far.  I can't think of another reason as to why they haven't given me their Bio's for inclusion onto the band's soon to be launched web-site.

Nigel will be sitting in on drums with old friends Frank & Barry of Flipside this Friday night at Oscars next to the Warren Theatre (353 N. Mead in Old Town Square) Tel: 262-7123. http://www.warrentheatres.com/oscars.asp

This weekend:

On Saturday RAIN will soak the R & P Longhorn Supper Club, 1255 S. Tyler (NW corner of Kellogg & Tyler) from 9pm -1am.  This is a new venue for the band, but I hear that the owner likes to party so come on out and join us for a virgin soaking!

On Sunday, there will be RAIN in the afternoon at The Roadhouse Blues (37th & N. Broadway) from approximately 2:30pm - 3:30pm. This is an all-day benefit (1pm - 10pm with about 7 bands) for ailing Wichita bluesman Ray Drew and will be headlined later in the evening by Ray's longtime friend, blues legend and Malaco Records recording artist "Little Milton" (http://www.littlemilton.com). Lots of great blues, rock, and r&b for a small cover charge at a great venue.

Tell a friend, bring a friend......The wetter the better!!!
