Fri - April 29, 2005
Hi everyone!
Well, we
all had a splendid night down at Oscars in old town last Saturday. For
those that couldn’t make it, you missed the chance of winning Wheatland
Jam tickets and giveaways, and the opportunity to wish Vic a happy
birthday. (It was actually the day before, but we delayed celebrations
until the Saturday). Aaron our sound man, and his wife Loretta also
celebrated their 20th Wedding Anniversary and Aaron got up to
sing one of their favorite songs “Cat’s in the Cradle” – Good Job Dude!
Thanks also to my Brit Buddies Paul & Owen who were on hand to help me
celebrate my home country’s National Day, and for those of you who sent
me emails wishing me a Happy St. Georges Day!
Just in case you missed
last week’s Newsletter, I’ll repeat the big news…
The promoters of Wheatland Jam 2005 have put Rain on the Main Stage
this year to open Friday night’s festivities. So start checking the
website at
www.wheatlandjam.com
for ticket information. Friday night features both .38 Special and
Journey! Huge thanks to Trowbridge Productions and Gear ConneXion for
giving us this opportunity.
Well, can you blame me?
It is a huge gig for Rain and I’ll no doubt be repeating that we’re
playing the Main Stage again and again.
Rain
will be holding a few Pre-Jam parties over the next few weeks leading
up to the main event and as a special bonus we will have some more
Wheatland Jam tickets to giveaway this weekend at Snoops. Our next big
Pre WJ Party will be at the Rivers Edge on May 21st.
This Weekend (Sat Apr 30):
Rain will be pouring down on Snoops this weekend.
For those who have yet to experience a Snoops night out, they have one
of the sexiest bartenders in town (Hi Tammy!) and one of the best
sounding rooms around. So get yourself down to Snoops for the chance
to win Wheatland Jam tickets and the opportunity to get some Rain Wear;
Remember, Mother’s Day is just around the corner and what better way to
tell Mom how much you love her with, a Rain T-Shirt, Rain Thong and
Rain Shot Glass – buy all three and we’ll throw in a Sticker – What a
Deal!!! Mom will love ya forever!
J. Classic Rock, R&B, Blues and
even a little bit of Country – Who wants to stay in and talk on Live
Links, when there’s so much fun to be had this Saturday night at
Snoops. Hope to see you all there!
