Hi everyone!

Apologies for the lack of Rain News last week, but we had technological difficulties in getting anything to send from the email account.  Normal service is now resumed!

We had another great weekend down at R&P’s Longhorn last Saturday, and we’re looking forward to appearing there again at the beginning of July.  Thanks to Roger & Paula for having us back again and for serving up a great steak!

Apologies to my band buddy Gary, for omitting his pictures in the new Rain Photo Gallery which has now been corrected.  I’ll soon have more posted, so keep checking back for updates!

For those new to this Newsletter, the promoters of Wheatland Jam 2005 have put Rain on the Main Stage this year to open Friday night’s festivities.  So start checking the website at www.wheatlandjam.com for ticket information.

Friday night features both .38 Special and JourneyThere’s also no need to wait until July for WJ activities; Rain will be holding a few Pre-Jam parties over the weeks leading up to the main event with the second “pre-party” at The Rivers Edge on May 21st.

This Weekend (Fri May 13 & Sat May 14):

The band have a busy but exciting weekend coming up, with a gig at the River Festival Block Party on Friday night (Century II Food Court Stage @ 9:00pm) and then Saturday night atop the Hyatt Hotel parking garage for the American Diabetes Association’s annual “Kiss a Pig” fundraiser.  Kiss a Pig is one of the ADA's unique fund-raising campaigns. To "honor" the pig for aiding in discovering the effectiveness of insulin for people with diabetes, participants compete with each other to see who can raise the most money. The participant who raises the most money, usually a CEO or business executive, earns the honor of greeting the Kiss-A-Pig pig with a kiss.  Kiss-A-Pig events take place in several cities nationwide, and raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Association.
